Hazeeq Fadzli is a Partner of Messrs Azraai, Hazieq & Zikry and heads the firm’s Banking Litigation Department as well as its Islamic Banking Unit. He has an established practice in banking and finance litigation, business recovery, insolvency, and commercial disputes. He graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Universiti Malaya in 2019 and was admitted as an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 2020.
Throughout his legal career, Hazeeq has built extensive experience in banking and finance disputes, debt recovery, insolvency matters, and corporate litigation, acting for financial institutions, corporate clients, and businesses in a wide range of contentious matters. His practice encompasses conventional and Islamic banking litigation, debt recovery, bankruptcy and winding-up proceedings, judicial management, corporate due diligence, and general commercial litigation. His strategic and commercially driven approach enables him to deliver practical legal solutions while safeguarding his clients’ commercial interests in complex disputes.
Prior to joining Messrs Azraai, Hazieq & Zikry, Hazeeq was appointed as the Head of the Business Recovery Department at Messrs Akram Hizri Azad & Azmir. Under his leadership, the department underwent significant transformation, with its case output increasing fourfold while substantially improving turnaround times and operational efficiency. His forward-thinking leadership and commitment to excellence played a key role in strengthening the firm’s business recovery practice and enhancing the quality of legal services delivered to its clients.
As the Head of the Banking Litigation Department and the firm’s Islamic Banking Unit, Hazeeq leads the firm’s banking and finance disputes practice, overseeing complex conventional and Shariah-compliant financing disputes, business recovery, and insolvency matters. He works closely with financial institutions, corporations, and businesses to develop commercially sound litigation strategies while ensuring that the firm’s banking practice continues to deliver efficient, results-oriented legal solutions.
